Mercedes-Benz enthusiasts can now enjoy the cachet of their favorite brand on the open ocean. Mercedes-Benz Style recently teamed up with Silver Arrows Marine to create the Arrow460-Granturismo.
The 46-foot boat was first dangled in front of the yachting world in 2012 and just slipped into the waters of Cote d’Azur for the first time in mid-April.
The stunning vessel mixes the luxury one expects from the fine German automaker with amenities like a wine cellar and ice machine, fine grain eucalyptus wood flooring, air conditioning, a top-of-the-line stereo system, a decked out bathroom, and extendable tables and beds.
The comfort of the interior is matched by the sleek Mercedes-derived hull design, including a feature line along the side and tail of the ship that has the distinctive feel of the E-Class, S-Class, and C-Class cars.
The Arrow460 is powered by two Yanmar 6LY3-ETP engines that make a combined 960 horsepower to create a top speed of 40 knots and a cruising speed of 30 knots. The new yacht also has a 317-gallon fuel tank, which allows long trips at cruising speed.
Pricing information for the new yacht has yet to be released.
