Gluten-Free Diets

Switching from a regular diet to a gluten free one takes patience and time. For some people the change from their regular eating habits to a special diet will be challenging. Before they initiate the food regime, they should consult a nutritionist who will help them differentiate the good from the bad diet options.  Gluten-diet experts are confident that diet followers will be certainly pleased with the outcome! A gluten-free diet is known to alleviate the symptoms of numerous health problems, such as wheat allergies, multiple sclerosis, and celiac disease.

According to U.S. News and World Report estimates, around 15 to 25 percent of people look to replace their routine diet with gluten-free products. The gluten-free industry is expected to grow at a steady rate in the following years.

You should make an extensive list of gluten-free meals before you go grocery shopping. Some of the allowed foods include:

  • Beans or  nuts in their natural, unprocessed form
  • Fresh eggs
  • Fish
  • Fresh meats
  • Dairy products
  • Rice
  • Corn

Diet followers may also look for recipes for gluten-free soups, salads and meals.

It is also imperative that you avoid foods containing any wheat, rye or barley, and most importantly cereal, pasta and breads.
