Last December 1st, Designer Soraya Nava presented her new 2017 Mediterranean collection, for the benefit of the Wuayu tribe, in the exclusive Aurora Sunny Isles Beach Complex.
In attendance of this magnificent gala were Consuls, City mayors, entrepreneurs and representatives of some of the most exclusive artistic and cultural circles in Miami.
Soraya and her staff of professionals in alliance with authorities of the surrounding municipalities have enjoyed an unprecedented event where classical music (an unexpected performance from a soprano accompanied by a cellist) combined with a glass of champagne and a pinch of caviar. In that upscale setting, guests enjoyed an exclusive private sale of Soraya Nava Mediterranean Collection 2017.
An auction of ethnic artwork of the Wuayu tribe was held and the money raised was donated to benefit the fight against child malnutrition suffered by the children of this forgotten ethnic group of the Guajira Alta which is located in the northeast of the city of Maracaibo, Venezuela.
It is not uncommon to see this great designer’s name associated with these charitable works. Her dedication to help those in need and to showcase their artwork has been well noted..
FLORIDA REVIEW, in an exclusive interview with Soraya, quoted her heartfelt statement:
“I have dedicated my life to putting talent, beauty and distinction in the
hands of the most vulnerable. That is my engine, my inspiration and
my greatest fortune”, concluded the designer.
